Very happy to see our college website. I am Kavitha  working in Singapore, studied B.Sc Physics in the batch 1992-1995. By seeing this website, always help me to recall my golden memories. Golden memories

I feel happy to say that my college had given me so much of knowledge,experience,opportunity,so on., when I spent the golden days in JAC in the year 1988-199I could not forget all my staff(in my ENGLISH dept),principal,and other sisters and staff of other depts. I did my PU and Eng.Literature (1978 batch) from this college.That was the golden era in my life.I am very glad to see your website.I still can't forget the amount of discipline as well as the enjoyment we had there.Even today I cherish those memories. It was a blessing for me that Mother.Paul vinci Mary attended my wedding and praised a lot about me to my husband and my in-laws.They still remember that.I had the privilege of studying under a host of lecturers like Miss Valli (our HOD) How can I forget when she made us laugh continuously with "Tom Sawyer" and cry with"King Lear"?; Mrs.Rita,who was also my guide and mentor in everything , we enjoyed 'Paradise Lost" with her;Mrs.Mathilda, I love dher class of "Burke's speeches on American Taxation";Sr.Canisius,Sr.Quintin,Miss Juliet,Miss Baby Saleena,Miss Leelavathy ("Michael" poem is ever green)in degree level.Mrs. Josephine only would make  economics very interesting with her lectures( PUC) I thoriughly enjoyed the Tamil lectures also by Prof.Indira (then Principal),Mrs.Dhanalakshmi,Mrs.Grace Dasan and Mrs.Kannagi. I read the many feedback from all the ex-students of JAC. I guess I am one of the earliest student of JAC. Back in 1974 when i enrolled for my Pre-University. AT that time the college had only the basics but it was home to me. All the sisters adopted me as their child and the lecturers were my buddies (except for some very strict ones). Like some of you mentioned, I learnt how to live my life in JAC, Periyakulam. It was a regime which cannot be ever replaced. I wud like to mention 2 unforgetable episodes. Do you know cobras wud just drop into our study hall and vicinity...they were huge and we wud all scream so loudly on that lonely hill at nites. I am sure the ppl in Periyakulam must have heard us. There wud be no water supply for days and our warden wud make us walk downhill with our buckets and collect spring water that trickles from the edges of the hill! We wud struggle to carry the bucket uphill just to have a quick bath. I would never have had all those experiences if I had been in Malaysia. I still have a couple of good friends I made during my time. Meena from Bodi and Thanalakshmi. I had kept in touch with Dr Aruna for a long time but lost touch sometime back. Wud love to get in touch again. By God's grace I completed my MSc in Zoology and Plant Science in NZ. I am married with 3 grown-up children. My love and cheers to the Principal and JAC team on a job so well done. May the Lord continue to bless JAC.

I could visit the college three years back in connection with a National Seminar organised by the Department of History. I am thankful to the Pricipal, HOD and Prof. Floras Marry for inviting me.
