In 2001, NAAC had assessed and accredited the college with `Four Stars`. Since then, the institution has been carrying out a number of improvements and opted for re-accreditation this year.

A peer team along with Dr. Sudha Rao as the Chair Person, from NAAC visited the campus from 17th July to 19th July,2008 to validate the self-study report of the college based on the progress made in the past five years in curriculum aspects, teaching, learning and evaluation, research, consultancy and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, organisation and management, students` support and healthy practices and submitted its report to the Council. 

At the executive committee meeting of the Council, held at Bangalore, the findings were examined and the college awarded `A` grade.
