The first day seminar on the role of teaching competency and personal values was started on 22.07.09 with a prayer song. Rev. Dr. Thamburaj S.J., Former Principal, Loyola College, Chennai, was the chief guest. Staff club secretary Dr. Gunasundara Devi welcomed the chief guest and the memento was given by our Vice Principal Mrs. Chandhini.
Rev. Dr. Thumburaj clearly brought out the victorians methods of teaching techniques and how to impart knowledge of the students. Every teacher should adapt new, modern, recent and revolutionary methodology to make students to understand. He also said teachers should inculcate the qualities of self-discipline, presentation skill, calmness, composure, respectful, smartness with VISION, MISSION and PASSION. Father also enlightened us by discussing Dr. Abdul Kalam’s vision, Lord Budha’s quote, the letter written by Abraham Linghon to the teacher of his son coupled with visual feast of singing and raising the Almighty as well as Mother Teacher’s film.

Father mentioned that the Christian possess dynamite in the form of Holy Bible, it can transform culture and can change the world upside down.
He also quoted the great people of our Nation like Dr. Ambedkar, Mahatma Gandhi, & Vivekananda who read Bible and practiced the values as Christ. Father also said that Indian constitution permits minority Institution to propagate their values to the student community.
