Dr.B. Mallika, College Union Vice President, welcomed the gathering and Dr.Rev.Sr.Y. Yesu Thangam, Principal honored the chief guest. The students of various institutions residing in the college campus presented cultural programmes such as Bharathanatyam, Christmas carols, dances and skit based on the theme of Christmas and Christian values. The Christmas carols sung by the religious nuns and teaching staff was much appreciated. The mentally challenged children of the ‘DAY STAR’ enacted the birth of Christ in a realistic manner and those children found a special place in all the audience.
In the Christmas message Rev .Fr.Vimi Charlie made the audience to recall the aim, importance and need for celebrating Christmas in today’s society. He also highlighted that, faith, self confidence and self esteem are the means to charge Christ’s energy in us. Santa Clause wished every body with sweets and gifts. A. Naveena, College Union Student Secretary proposed the vote of thanks and the meeting came to an end with Papal Anthem.
