PG Department of Computer Science organizes a national conference on COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING – 2010 on 24th & 25th February, 2010
 

      ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Jayaraj Annapackiam College for Women, Periyakulam, a synonym for sterling
Service in the Higher Education of Women was founded in 1971 with the noble aspiration of uplifting the moral and educational standards of the women of this area which is largely rural and economically backward. Jayaraj Annapackiam College carries on her goals and objectives under the guiding spirit of her motto “Serve with Love”.

It has grown into an Autonomous Institution, affiliated to Mother Teresa Women’s University since 2004 and is re-accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC in 2008. Within a span of 39 years, the Institution has grown into an Autonomous Institution, offering 11 U.G and 8 P.G courses, 2 research programmes, 3 Diploma/PG Diploma courses and a few Certificate courses.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Computer Science was started in the year 1992 as a Computer Center offering PGDCA only. But it has grown excellently and started offering B.Sc (CS) in the year 1997 and with in short span of time it started offering PG course M.Sc. (CS &
IT) in the year 2001. The department is equipped with the state-of-the-art computing and supported by well-qualified faculty members. The department also offers PG Diploma/Diploma and few certificate courses.

CONFERENCE THEME

The conference aims to bring together Scientists, Researchers, Engineers from Academia and industry. It will provide a national forum to exchange and share their experiences, technical advances and research results in the field and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING PAPERS

Authors are requested to submit two copies of their full length paper in single column not exceeding 5 pages with soft copy (MS WORD) in CD. The format of the paper is as follows

Paper Size : A4

Font Details:

Font Name : Times New Roman
Font Size
Paper Title : Center, Bold, Uppercase, 14 pt
Author(s) Name: Center, Bold, Titlecase, 12 pt
& Affiliation
Sub Title : Left, Bold, Titlecase, 12 pt
Running Matter: 12 pt with single space

For each paper to be presented in the conference and published in the proceedings, at lease one author of the accepted paper has to register for participation.

REGISTRATION FEE

Student participants : Rs. 150.
Staff and Scholars : Rs. 250.

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation will be provided within the college campus to the outstation lady participants in request. However, necessary help will be given for those who need accommodation in hotels.


TRANSPORT FACILITIES
Periyakulam is easily reachable by bus from all major cities. The two nearest major cities, Dindigul (60 Kms) and Madurai (80 Kms) are connected by rail to all the main cities. Picnic resorts such as Kodaikanal, Sothuparai Dam, Vaigai Dam Kumbakarai falls and Thekkadi reservoir are close to Periyakulam.
